The first five years of life is crucial in every child’s growth and development. During this time, we as Educators play a significant role that will affect their physical , social, emotional., language and cognitive development. We should be a role model to them because children are great imitators that can copy our actions and words based  on their observations. Their brain is like a sponge that easily absorbs anything that they’ve seen or felt so we should be aware of everything that is happening around them. Children need constant encouragement and acknowledgement in every task that they do. These will help them develop self-confidence and self-esteem that is needed in their growth and development throughout life

My name is Charmaine I’m currently studying my cert III in childcare and am proud to say I finally found my place of expertise and belonging.
I’m so excited to be part of your little ones journey here at Little Gems I can’t wait to welcome all our little ones so we can start building beautiful friendships and memories. A little bit about me, I’m a proud mum to 7 beautiful babies I have four daughters and three sons and they all make me smile and laugh every single day my life is full of laughter, jokes, hugs and little feet and hands, and I Wouldn’t have it any other way. I have a nursing background and was a manager for coles for two years. I have a personality that is bubbly and approachable so please don’t be shy and come say hi. I love books, cooking, family movie nights on the lounge and the sound and smell of rain, and nothing beats a nice cooked family meal that brings my family together at the end of each day.

My name is Renee and I am the Lead Educator in our Bumble Bees Room. I have always had a passion for Early Childhood Education which I guess for me started from growing up in such a big family. I am the eldest of 8 children and to date have 24 nieces and nephews. I believe that nothing is more precious in our lives than our little ones, and nothing is more rewarding than watching them grow and develop through their early years. I have 7 beautiful children, 6 daughters and 1 Son. My youngest 2 children attend the centre and my oldest daughter is about to be starting her traineeship with us here at Little Gems. I look forward to building meaningful relationships with our wonderful families and watching our Little Gems blossom in a safe, fun, nurturing environment

Hi all! I am Jermalene and I am originally from the Philippines. I live locally with my partner and young son. In my spare time, I enjoy karaoke, gardening, doing household chores, and window shopping. I am happy to be part of Little Gems Child Care and Early Learning Centre family and excited to showcase my ability to everyone and impart my knowledge especially to our young ones.
 
I graduated with a Bachelor of Elementary Education majoring in Preschool. I finished my Master’s in Education Majoring in Early Childhood Education way back 2012. I then proceeded to study my Doctor of Developmental Education ( DEV.ED.,D) and finished 2018. I also studied Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages (TESOL) and finished year 2018.
 
I came to Australia looking for a greener pastures and I completed my Certificate III in Early Childhood in 2021, then proceeded to study my Diploma in Early Childhood which I finished in 2022.
 
I have over 15 years of teaching experience and want to pursue and bestow my knowledge to our young ones not only academically and extra curricular activities but also holistically. Teaching has always been my passion as it reveals to my inner desire to help our children. I also wanted to have a positive and inspiring impact on children’s lives. I love giving ideas and inspiring young minds to become creative thinkers and independent learners.
 
Above all I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know all the children and families at Little Gems Child Care and Early Learning Centre. I look forward to meeting you.

I have a background in Disability Support Work and Swim Teaching, however, Childcare is where I am meant to be! I am a mum to two children. Having a neurodiverse child has taught me the importance of finding the right village for support, which is what led me into becoming an educator that understands and advocates for inclusion, daily. As an educator, I thrive on providing sensory experiences for children to explore, as it is my belief that children learn by doing, and doing is noisy, untidy, messy and unpredictable.

Hi my name is Kirsty, I am one of the educators here at Little Gems. A little bit about myself, I have 3 children, Seth 14, Lucie 4 and Ruby 3 who both attend the service here in the bigger rooms. I started my career within Childcare as a trainee 18 years ago and have held my Diploma for 12 years and plan to start studying my Bachelor of Primary mid 2024. Nursery is one of my favourite age groups and I can’t wait to watch them grow into strong little independent toddlers. I cannot wait to work alongside you here at Little Gems to help get the most out of your child’s start in the early years sector and go on an amazing journey with you all.

I am Brianna!   I’m a mum to 3 under the age of three I have 2 boys and a girl I love going out on the JetSkis, cooking up a really nice BBQ and sitting around a campfire with family and friends, making memories with my little family watching my 3 kids grow into the amazing individuals they are.  I am currently studying my Certificate III and have found my career of choice in early childhood. I strive to provide a kind, and nurturing environment so children feel welcome while in my care! I always like to keep the classroom feeling inclusive, an environment where children can flourish into the unique, independent little people they are! Seeing a child with a smile from ear to ear and having a giggle fills me with joy, I love creating special bonds with the children.

Hello my name is Shanae, I’m 19 years old and I graduated year 12 in 2022. I currently hold a Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care. This year I have started my studies at university for a Bachelor of Primary Education, as I am passionate about working with children and see this as being part of my long term career. Some fun facts about me are; I have been dancing since I was 4 years old and in 2023 have also started teaching dance to children ages 4 to 12 years old, which is something I look forward to every week. I have two dogs named Gryffin and Spencer and love playing with them in my spare time. This is my first year working in childcare and I cannot wait to meet all of the families at Little Gems.
