Hi everyone! I have been in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector for over 30 years educating throughout Southern & Northern suburbs of Brisbane & Darling Downs area. My experience includes working as an educator, Lead educator & Centre Manager and the last 6yrs as a Trainer/Assessor.

I bring with me a variety of skills and qualifications including the Advanced Diploma of Children’s services, Diploma of Children’s services, Cert Ill in child care & Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

I’m so excited to be part of your little ones journey here at Little Gems I can’t wait to welcome all our little ones so we can start building beautiful friendships and memories. A little bit about me, I’m a proud mum to 7 beautiful babies I have four daughters and three sons and they all make me smile and laugh every single day my life is full of laughter, jokes, hugs and little feet and hands, and I Wouldn’t have it any other way. I have a nursing background and was a manager for coles for two years. I have a personality that is bubbly and approachable so please don’t be shy and come say hi. I love books, cooking, family movie nights on the lounge and the sound and smell of rain, and nothing beats a nice cooked family meal that brings my family together at the end of each day.

Hi my name is Kirsty, I am one of the educators here at Little Gems. A little bit about myself, I have 3 children, Seth 14, Lucie 4 and Ruby 3 who both attend the service here in the bigger rooms. I started my career within Childcare as a trainee 18 years ago and have held my Diploma for 12 years and plan to start studying my Bachelor of Primary mid 2024. Nursery is one of my favourite age groups and I can’t wait to watch them grow into strong little independent toddlers. I cannot wait to work alongside you here at Little Gems to help get the most out of your child’s start in the early years sector and go on an amazing journey with you all.

Hi my name is Taiya and I am a young motivated individual pursuing an extraordinary opportunity to kick start my most desired future career at little gems. I’m beyond exited to be apart of the learning and development of the children of our community. I am one of seven kids, I have grown up really close with my siblings that I adore more than anything. My name is Kathryn, and I have worked in childcare for 10 years as an educator in various rooms and centres around the
Ipswich region. I am looking forward to working with our Little Gems Families and the community that surrounds us.
I am passionate about continuing studies while meeting all the individual families and children while building respectful relationships.

I am dedicated to providing an environment where all children and families feel connected, safe and cared for. I love to build relationships and learn

about each family at our Centre.

I live in the Plainland area with my husband and our two sons. On the weekends I enjoy going out to the markets, hiking day adventures both
countryside or beach, or taking it easy being creative around the house.

On a quirky note, I love little walks with my dog who is a pug named Blue.

Hi, my name is Jess, and I have I been in the childcare industry for 7 years. I currently have my diploma in childcare and I’m studying towards my Bachelor of Early Education. I’m a mum of two beautiful children that are my everything. I have a puppy named Blaze, a cat named Ace and 5 guinea pigs.

Ever since I was a teenager I have wanted to work with children, as I enjoy watching them learn and grow. I enjoy taking new challenges and learning new things.

I believe that each child is unique. I strive to build trusting relationships with the children in my care.

I believe that I can be a positive role model to your child, a person they can trust and rely on whenever they may need. I believe that the moment a child enters the world they are learning, and my desire is to continue teaching your child new and valuable lessons which will help your child grow as a person. I love working in the 3-5 years space and being apart of supporting children on their learning journey from daycare to “big school”, as it is such a magical transformation to witness.

I’m excited to introduce myself! My name is Angel, and I’m a mum to one wonderful child. I’m currently studying my Certificate 3 in Childcare and have been working in early childhood education for about 6 months now. My name is Tori and I am very excited to be appointed as your Lead Educator. I have worked in the early childhood sector for the past 10 years and I love each and every day. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work with all age groups and guide learning for children to reach their goals and milestones. I am dedicated to creating a safe, secure and caring learning environment for all of our little ones and ensuring that each day their individual needs are my highest priority. Hello my name is Shanae, I’m 19 years old and I graduated year 12 in 2022. I currently hold a Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care. This year I have started my studies at university for a Bachelor of Primary Education, as I am passionate about working with children and see this as being part of my long term career. Some fun facts about me are; I have been dancing since I was 4 years old and in 2023 have also started teaching dance to children ages 4 to 12 years old, which is something I look forward to every week. I have two dogs named Gryffin and Spencer and love playing with them in my spare time. This is my first year working in childcare and I cannot wait to meet all of the families at Little Gems.

Within my role I will respect and protect children in my care and support their early development each day, as they develop their strengths and interests. I believe children need to feel the earth beneath their tiny toes for a real sense of belonging and freedom to be social and unique.

The theorist that I align with the most is Maria Montessori- Children develop a growth mindset and learning dispositions such as curiosity, cooperation. confidence, creativity, commitment, enthusiasm, persistence, imagination and reflexivity throughout this play base experience.

Hello Families,

My name is Chelsie and I believe that children learn and love being at our Centre because of the way we have made a family. To me our Centre is a home away from home where I just loved seeing children run into our rooms and give us great big hugs. This is the best part of my day!

I love to listen to the many stories children say and the wonderful expressions they use to describe an event or experience they have been part of. We have an amazing role in children’s loves and I am so grateful to be part of this.
