Our qualified and experienced long-term educators create a rich
curriculum guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, focusing on
imaginative play, collaboration, and developmentally appropriate activities
to support each child’s learning journey.

We value strong partnerships with families and caregivers, sharing daily updates on Storypark and personalised learning journals to keep you involved in your child’s progress. Children are encouraged to express their thoughts, ideas, and feelings, helping to build confident, capable learners with strong social and emotional skills. We also connect with the wider community through partnerships with programs like Jump Swim School, PhysiKids, and the 1st Fives Footy program, offering diverse experiences that support physical and cognitive development.
Our Bush Kindy program provides regular opportunities for children to explore STEM concepts through nature-based discovery,
while deepening respect for Country and empathy for the land we
share. With spacious indoor and outdoor environments, there is always
something exciting to discover and enjoy.
Enrolment includes all meals, nappies, and wipes, 15 hours of free Kindy, as well as a welcome pack featuring a Little Gems T-shirt and hat. Come

About Us
Little Gems is a family owned and operated early learning centre at 55 Cerina Circuit, Jimboomba, Queensland, 4280. We are a purpose built childcare centre that is air conditioned and has large natural play spaces and large rooms. Each child’s needs and interests are built on in a caring and loving environment. We use the “positive guiding technique” rather than a negative approach to ensure that each child develops in an engaging, happy environment.
Meals
Little Gems provides nutritionally balanced morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Our aim is to have children participation in the preparation of morning and afternoon tea. We also implement a progressive meal time to ensure that we meet the changing needs of the children in our care. This flexibility allows the children to eat when they are hungry and also meet the changing needs on a day by day basis.
Toys
We would appreciate your help in encouraging your children to keep all toys at home as these can be misplaced or broken. We provide natural play spaces and resources to ensure that children are engaged throughout the day. Please bring in special comforters for your child if required.

Extra Curricular Inclusions
We provide a wide variety of extra curricular activities. These include:
Bush Kindy - Every Friday at no cost to families for Kindergarten children!
Physi Kids - A great sports and fitness program that comes into the service to provide movement and lots of fun! This is at no cost to families! This is every Tuesday.
1st Fives Rugby - A wonderful program that helps support social and emotional learning, physicality, executive function, language, literacy, mathmatics and numeracy all while engaging with a great team. This is at no cost to families! This is every Wednesday.
We offer swimming lessons in conjunction with Jump Swim school for an additional fee. (This is for children over 3) You can click on the link below for more information.
Communication
Communication is vital for parents & educators. You will receive a weekly update via email from the Directors that provides communication about the policies, staff holidays, upcomng events at the service and much more. This helps families to gain a further insight into the running of the centre, enhancing the link between life and home. It also allows parents to read the weekly update when they can enjoy some quiet time.

What our centre also offers
- Open 52 weeks a year – Only closing public holidays and 3 days between Christmas and New years (29th, 30th & 31st of December)
- Opening from 6.30 am to 6.30 pm – 5 days a week
- Current and continuously reviewed policies and procedures to ensure that your child is in the best possible care at all times.

We are licensed by the Office of Early Childhood Education and Care and operate under The Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)
The Administration
Little Gems has a spacious layout and five rooms. We provide care and are licenced for 92 children.
Hours
6.30 am to 6.30 pm – Monday to Friday excluding public holidays.
Please contact the Family Assistance Office on 13 61 50 prior to enrolment. You will need your child’s CRN number and you will also be advised of your CCS percentage and also options for CCS entitlements. All enrolments will need to be confirmed by the parent or guardian prior to the subsidy being applied. Please note that full fees are applicable until you connect your child with the centre. All families are now required to complete an Activity Test.
We are licensed under the Child Care Act. This centre complies with this Act and upholds all regulations. Further information is also available at Family Assist
Fees & Rates
(Please note, this is the full fee rate before you receive your CCS benefit. This will be paid directly to the centre to minimise fees)
There is no discount or make up days for public holidays.
Attendance
Fees are paid for each day that your child is booked into the centre, this includes when your child is absent due to holidays or illness. As per our policies, we also require 2 weeks written notice with withdrawing your child from our centre.
Payment
Fees must be paid 2 weeks in advance to ensure that continuity of care can be guaranteed. Fees can be paid by iDebit or direct deposit through the Kidsoft app. Accounts are emailed weekly. It is a parent’s responsibility to pay their fees on a weekly basis.
Enrolment Fee
A $50 enrolment fee is required to put your child’s name on the waiting list along with the return of enrolment forms.
Paying the $50 does not secure your child the spot and is non-refundable.
Storypark
This program is part of our documentation and allows better communication between families and staff. All of your child’s documentation and daily requirements are updated for you to view online at anytime.

Kindergarten Curriculum & Program
Little Gems offers a Queensland Government approved Kindergarten Program. The program offers parents and children a program that enriches and fosters their learning whilst still having the flexibility of days and hours to suit each families requirements.
The Kindergarten Program:
- Implemented and run by a University Qualified Early Childhood Teacher
- Curriculum is based on the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines – QKLG
- Program offered is for a minimum of 15 hours per week. We run our program for 48 weeks of the year.
- Provides greater flexibility for families, as the centre operates 52 weeks a year from 6.30am to 6.30pm
- Kindergarten program runs from 8.00am – 3:30pm each day

I believe that all children are capable of achieving their dreams when given the right environment, encouragement and support. 
Urie Bronfenbrenner is a theorist with whom I strongly connect. His belief that the world in which a child grows has a major influence on their development closely aligns with my own philosophy. 
I believe in the importance of collaborating and building meaningful relationships with not only children, but also their families. 
I believe that children, from birth, require a strong connection with a trusted adult to thrive. When children develop a trusting bond with someone and know they can rely on them for food , rest , comfort and fun , their development and confidence have endless potential to flourish. 
I am a firm believer in children learning through their senses , getting messy and exploring risk in meaningful ways. 
I encourage children to be present in the moment and simply “be.” 
I strive to create a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment where children feel free to be themselves, explore, discover and, most importantly, have fun!

I began my career in early childhood education in 1992, driven by a passion for nurturing young children and supporting them to believe in themselves and their potential. 
Throughout my career, I have remained committed to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments where children feel valued, capable and confident to explore, discover and grow.
As an Educational Leader, I am dedicated to guiding and mentoring educators , strengthening professional practice and supporting high-quality programs that promote children’s learning, wellbeing and development.
I believe in the importance of reflective practice, strong and meaningful relationships, and fostering a shared vision 
that supports children, families and educators alike.

I view each child as an individual, and as an educator, I support and guide each child’s strengths, interests, skills, abilities and knowledge to extend their learning.
I believe children learn best through play, and I endeavour to provide meaningful opportunities and experiences that encourage children to explore, discover, create and imagine.
In my curriculum, I strongly believe in embedding cultural diversity and celebrating the benefits it brings. 
This supports children in developing understanding, respect and appreciation for diversity, while helping them recognise how valued and unique we all are. 
Charlize - Educator
Hi! My name is Charlize, but you can call me Charli. 
I am currently studying my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Growing up in a large family sparked my interest in working with children, as I have always enjoyed supporting and caring for my younger siblings. I also love spending time with my nephew and two nieces, watching them grow, learn and develop into their own unique individuals.
I am extremely excited to be a part of the team at Little Gems and to support young children as they grow, learn and explore. I value building positive relationships with children and families and enjoy contributing to a warm, welcoming and supportive learning environment.
Zero - Educator
Hi, I’m Zero! 
I’m currently studying my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and am excited to be building my knowledge and experience in the early childhood industry.
I have a background in acting and drama, which I love bringing into my work with children. 
I enjoy being creative, using my imagination and bringing lots of energy and fun into the day.
I love making children laugh, joining in their play and creating fun experiences where they can explore, express themselves and let their imaginations run wild!
I’m so excited to be joining the Little Gems family and can’t wait to get to know all the children, families and educators. I’m looking forward to lots of fun, laughter and making wonderful memories together!
