Cass – Director – 13 Years in Child Care – Diploma Qualified

My name is Cass and I am honoured to have been appointed the position of Centre Director at Little Gems Early Learning Centre, Jimboomba. I have been in the Early Education Industry since 2004, starting off as a student and slowly working my way up into the Director Role. I have managed several different Early Learning Centres where I have strived to achieve a centre with high quality care and create foundations for a strong team. I have two young children of my own who both certainly keep me on my toes! My children have helped me realise the importance of early education, something that I am very passionate about. I have not long moved to Jimboomba, and I am so excited to make Little Gems Early Learning a valued part of our community. My goal is to create a place where children are nurtured to shine, grow, and create memories, while helping develop the foundations for them to create the best start in life. I will strive to achieve a centre with high quality care where children feel a sense of belonging and respect. I look forward to welcoming you to our new centre and building a relationship with your family.

Belinda – Lead Educator – 3 Years in Child Care – Diploma Qualified

My name is Belinda and I’m excited to be joining the Jimboomba Little Gems as a Lead Educator.  While working within the Early Learning industry since 2014, I’ve worked in both Lead Educator and Educator Roles, while completing my Diploma of Early Learning,  and now working towards my bachelor specialising in Early Learning Education.  I’m a mother of two children who keep me grounded and focused, helping me to see just how much 2 children learn and develop in many different ways.  This leading to my growing interest and passion for early years learning. I’m a strong believer that children learn and develop through play, active learning and social engagement with others.  As an educator I will be taking on many roles, while helping to guide our children down a path of learning through our everyday engagements with one another. Ensuring our space is one of fun, security and adventure for children is something i will be striving to achieve over the coming weeks.  Thank you for entrusting me with such a vital role in your children’s lives and look forward to getting to know each of our families.

I have been working with the early childhood sector since 1993 and have had the opportunity to work in numerous early childhood settings throughout this time. Raising my own family – a 19 year old son and a 17 year old daughter, plus a daughter by heart who is now married, has certainly enhanced my understanding of the challenges and concerns we all face as parents and what we are looking for in a vibrant and caring early childhood centre. Children are such unique little beings that are continually growing and soaking up the world around them. I can’t wait to begin this amazing journey alongside you all and no doubt we will have fun, laugh and learn something wonderful along the way!

My goal as an educator is to support students in meeting their fullest potential in an environment, which is safe, supportive, inviting, and fun! I love working with kindergarten aged children, supporting and challenging them in all areas of their development, building meaningful connections and helping to prepare them for their next big phase in life, attending school.
